Thanks for the love and support from all of our family and friends during this time as we prepare to honor Steve’s life and service. 

 

Funeral Services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida on Friday September 12th at 0900 (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513). Because the cemetery holds multiple services each day and operates on a strict schedule, it is very important that everyone arrives between 0840-0845.  

 

Additional considerations:  Traffic on I-75 is completely unpredictable, plan accordingly.  We are also asking that, to the extent possible, families and friends double up in vehicles, as space is at a premium.  Also, so that everyone is aware, the service will only last about 20 minutes. 

 

When you enter the cemetery, there is a small watch house very visible that is manned by cemetery staff.  Notify them that you are there for the Munroe Interment.  They will then direct you to 1 of 6 lanes used for staging.  Once assembled, our vehicle procession will be led, by cemetery staff to the committal shelter where Steve will receive full military honors and a short service.  

 

While it is impossible to accurately convey the life and career of Steve Munroe an obituary has been posted on The Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon website (robertsofdunnellon.com). 

Immediately following the service we invite all family and friends for the Celebration of Life that will be held at the Hilton Ocala (3600 SW 36th Avenue, Ocala FL)  Special overnight accommodation rates are arranged, just indicate you are there for the Munroe Celebration of Life.  Your presence means so much to us, we look forward to gathering with you to celebrate the life of Steve Munroe.

 

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to Christ the King Anglican Church where the funds will be distributed to Steve and Ulli’s favorite charities.
